Welcome to my new website where I have put together a showcase of lamp worked glass beads and jewellery. Every piece is made by me and has been individualy designed & crafted ensuring that every piece is unique. I have many more items to put in the shop so keep watching! To launch the site I have made available some of the projects that have appeared in the 'Making Jewellery' magazine.

For those of you that are new to lamp work beads, they are made from rods of clear or coloured glass which are melted in a propane/oxygen flame, shaped onto a stainless steel mandrel and then decorated. The beads are then soaked in a kiln at a constant temperature to strengthen the structure of the glass to prevent the bead from shattering with the extremes of temperature.

I started flameworking in July 2007 as a hobby, but its fascination and magic soon took hold and has inspired me to progress and put together a collection to display and sell.

I am based in the small sea side town of Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, which is in the South West of the UK. My studio is in a converted bedroom in our Victorian terraced house, which allows me to practice my skills comfortably. I am unable at this time to hold classes but would be happy to carry out one to one sessions if required. Please contact me to discuss if you are interested in learning this fantastic craft.

Living near Bristol, I have started a range of Bristol Cobalt Blue Glass jewellery for both ladies & gents. For anyone not familiar with this glass, it is a beautiful rich clear blue glass which has been associated with the city of Bristol for many centuries.

If any fellow beaders, especially any based in the South West of the country, would like to contact me to perhaps meet up, I would love to hear from you!

Finally, a photograph of my 'statement' piece which I completed for a photo shoot earlier this year for my friend Jeanne. I have not been brave enough to wear it yet, but one day perhaps!!!
